Who we are
LogFather is a digital food safety compliance tool operated by Wrought Web. Our website is logfather.wroughtweb.com.
What data we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your business name and type
- A password (stored securely using bcrypt hashing)
When you use the app, we store:
- Temperature readings, checklist completions, cleaning records, goods-in logs, fitness declarations, allergen queries, and corrective actions — all linked to your organisation
- Staff names and PINs (PINs are hashed, never stored in plain text)
Why we collect it
We collect this data solely to provide the LogFather service — helping you maintain HACCP-compliant digital food safety records. We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing purposes.
How we store it
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU (Ireland, eu-west-1). All connections are encrypted using SSL.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie (session) to keep you logged in. This is a functional cookie required for the app to work. We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
Data retention
Your food safety records are retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 90 days, after which it may be deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time.
